Recently, I am reading on a book which title is "Isha Wa Jibun No byouki wo Naoseruka - Oishasan 15-Nin no Toubyouki". Kaori Narushima writes wrote this book. It is a book that tell the stories of 15 doctors when they were sick how they overcome with their illness.
This is an interesting book. There is an old saying in Chinese, "You can health the others but you can't health yourself". This book stated out the feeling and emotion of the doctors when they found out their illness and how they overcome with the fear of death. While reading the book, I found that doctor is like us, a normal human being. When they are sick, they are totally weak and they will be panic also. In the book also, you can read something interesting saying out by those doctors. Some of them said that, "if you want to be a doctor that know the feeling of the patient, getting sick is a must for every doctor." "When I lied on the bed in hospital, I can now experience what have been gone through by my patient before. Now I can understand why they keep on worry about many things. I'm lucky that I get this illness, through this I can now know that every word or every action coming out from the doctors or nurses can effect a patient emotion. I'm glad that I learn all this in the period I lied on the bed together with other patients."
I'm kind of agreeing with the opinion of these doctors, they said that to be a good doctor, getting sick is a must. I think this is true and I believe that many of us have gone through the experience that when you go to hospital or clinic, the nurse and doctor there will usually talk to you like robot. It's like they don't have any emotion at all (Well, of course, there are many doctors and nurses that care about the patient ^O^).
If you have time, perhaps you can go and take look at this book. It's not only a book that stated out the stories of 15 doctors when they get sick but also a book where it also stated out when you got a certain kind of dieses what are the symptoms and how you can take care of your eating habits and your lifestyle.
^0^
and if you have read this book before or have further interesting about this book, just drop me a message and we can share our opinions...
